Highly recommend" Such a nice review for us to receive from Gary on Google My Business just before the 3rd Lockdown. If you are staying in Cheddar, go here often. For me the cave aged and extra mature are the front runners and I genuinely munched through most they had to offer. Great shopping experience, lovely staff and amazing cheese. You can buy cheddar pretty much everywhere but Cheddar made in Cheddar, enough said. You’ve lifted our spirits too! February 22nd, 2021 "Drawn to this shop due to the provenance of the cheese. Hopefully one day soon I'll be able to pay you a proper visit although this may be dangerous as would probably buy a lot more without thinking! Thank you again, stay safe, Angela" Thank you Angela – the best email to receive on a Monday morning. It has been a struggle this week who would have thought a few pieces of cheese would be able to lift my mood and bring a smile to my face. I am a very big cheese lover and to be able to buy cheese online from the Gorge is brilliant, it's so good you can keep going despite the current restrictions. I ordered Thursday morning and it arrived the next day, very impressed. I just wanted to say a very big thank you for my recent order and getting it to me so quickly. Reviewed on TripAdvisor by lmm10 ( Thank you) on June 19th, 2021. Afterwards we went to the shop where we were able to try the various cheeses and of course buy some! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were able to watch the process, saw a video and had a guide too. We had never seen cheese being made before and it was fascinating. Before going to the shop we opted to take the cheesemaking tour which was very interesting and definitely worth the £2.50 it cost. for this lovely review on Google My Business this morning. "The best cheese you can get, all sizes and strengths super tasty, good service and friendly staff, always make sure we stop here when we visit cheddar gorge" Thanks Adrian Google My Business October 2021 The staff are super helpful and the way that they let you taste a variety of cheese and when we were tasting we were told what order it would be best to try the cheese so that the aftertastes and the overpowering tastes came last". I really enjoyed my visit here"ĥ STARS from Daisy on Google My Business January 2022

The staff here were very friendly and professional and are willing to describe the cheeses available. The shop was very clean and offered tasters of the various cheeses. The cheese maker interacted with us through a window but popped his head out for a chat when we found communication difficult through the glass. I wish I could have stayed longer to see the whole thing from start to finish. The only annoying thing is the video in your ear playing on a loop. There are interesting signs to read which explain each step in detail. I found it very interesting and good value for money. The tickets costs £2.50 each and covers the whole day which is perfect as I now know that the cheese making process is not a quick one! You can watch each stage as it happens.no fast forwarding here! You can dip in and out, leave the area and pop back later to watch the next stage of the process. Thank you"! "I am really glad that we visited this shop and learned all about the cheese making process. My partner and I had a warm welcome from the staff and tried the cheeses before making our purchases will be making a trip there again before we leave for home after our holiday. "Visited cheddar yesterday and had to of course visit the cheese shop. Friendly and knowledgeable staff" Lovely to get this from Jeremy on TripAdvisor, March 2022 Tasting bar which helps you choose which strength of cheese you like. Thoroughly enjoyed the cheese tasting after and the cheese straws are to die for !" Thank you Karen for this top review on TripAdvisor March 18th 2022Ī Great Cheddar Cheese shop in Cheddar Gorge "Great selection of Cheddar cheeses and delicious cheese sticks. Kids found the storeroom a little "stinky" but I loved it! Not suitable for very young children of children in buggies but school age children would find this interesting especially if you arrive during a time where things are 'going on' in the making room. Having kids, one was bound to need the loo and was able to use the staff toilet upstairs which was kind of them. Had a fantastic time learning how the cheese was made and our tour guide was really friendly and answered all our questions. Thanks Kayligh – lovely 5 STARS review on Google My Business on March 23rd 2022 "Nice little shop all the cheese you could ever want from the caves, including biscuits and preserves, cheese boards and knives, staff really helpful and let you taste the cheese before you buy, really cool!"
